#1: Add colourants

6. A lipstick is all abouts its colour. And to get the desired colour shade you can use your old lipstick or different organic colours from your kitchen pantry such as turmeric to get yellow shade or beetroot powder for brownish shade. Apart from this you can also use cocoa powder.

8. Don’t restrict yourself from trying different pigments, you can always try to mix different colours to experiment and get the perfect shade you are looking for.

#2: Add fragrance to enhance its usage

9. A fragrance in lipstick can provide a pleasant sensory experience for you. Also, these fragrances can cover up the unpleasant smell of the mixture present. A drop or two will suffice so don’t add much.

10. Start with a drop or two and then add as per desired fragrance. (PS: Fragrance in lipsticks can trigger emotions and memories by creating a deeper connection.)

#3: Mix well

11. For easy use, mix everything well and pour it into a container. You can also use an old lipstick case or a small container and keep it in the fridge to let it settle appropriately before using the lipstick.

12. Keep checking on the state of lipstick and don’t take it out unless it is perfectly hardened.

13. Once hardened, now it is ready to use!

Please note!

Maintain a hygienic environment while preparing your DIY Lipstick along with using all the organic products.
