During the Russian invasion, Yuliia Zavalniuk’s floral business in Ukraine was destroyed. But this didn’t kill what she knew the best,i.e. creating business for the local economy and starting businesses. She re-started her entrepreneurial ventures to boost the local economy and generate jobs.
She employed many senior women and encouraged regional production by UN Women’s recommendations.
According to Zavalniuk, this is a step in the direction of Ukraine’s democratic growth.
